I honestly enjoyed the dishes and service, great area very close to where I live. The employees are always nice. Will come back again.
MoreOne of my main places to grab something to eat. good location, well organised, and excellent service. 5 stars!
MoreExcellent food. Staff was also very nice
Came here to watch the Warriors close out the Rockets on 5-10-19. Service was great. Ordered the turkey pastrami sandwich. Was delicious with good meat. 🻠selection is okay. Not many good pale ale nor IPA options. Place is not great to watch the game. The restaurant kept playing this weak house music instead of the pregame and halftime shows.
MoreAmazing. You can find the taste of German food. The collections of beer plus German sausage are perfect.
MoreFood was amazing and priced right!
Awesome environment and super personal service. The meals were crisp and enchanting. Will easily recommend this place to friends and family. Fair prices and big portions. Keep up the great work.
MoreGood German beer hall. Has all the staples of German beer from helles to doppelbock, but none of the great deep cuts. They have a huge space but it's usually packed with the after work crowd. You can get good sausage here but again nothing great. Go here if you like German food but honestly if you're in SF to visit, there are better options.
MoreSchroeders was a fine beer bar. Good selection. Terrible wait staff — after being questioned for beers at the table the waiter then insisted that a member of our party pay the tab since the man with his card on file was taking too long. Overall mediocre experience dealing with the staff.
MoreWe forgot it had been redone, and went looking for the beer hall. It is now a very loud bar, with the same art on the walls, and some of the same food. The beer selection is actually better, but this is not a place for kids, nor if you don't like shouting. We talked to the manager who was nice enough to explain the acoustics and turn the music down a bit, but it was still really loud.
MoreMoody German beer bar with a great selection and one of the best burgers I've ever had - can't go wrong with a pretzel bun
MoreThis restaurant gives great service and tasty food. One of my favourite spots around town. The food and drinks served quick and the rates were economical. Recommended.
MoreThe place serves big dishes and for reasonable pricing. very kind employees. Will visit again.
MoreGreat spot for conversation. Lots of room and any music being played is subtle. TVs are abundant and drink options are plentiful. If in FiDi you cannot go wrong by going here.
MoreThis is a great place. Good food , good beer. Very popular even on Tuesdays.
Good happy hour menu -- just need to get there early enough during happy hour to avoid the tech bros 😬
MoreIt was good, but you will have a better experience if you make a reservation
Tried this spot in the past with a friend and I am addicted since then. I liked the good vibes and delightful dishes and drinks. 5 stars.
MoreWe sat at the bar and our order took 25 minutes, which was a little annoying. However, the food was delicious!! Burger was juicy and had lots of flavor and the tots were even better!! My friend had a Reuben sandwich and he thoroughly enjoyed his meal as well.
MoreThe friend chicken things were so hard and dry i can't believe they let the food out of the kitchen. The chicken legs with sauce were cold and lacking flavour and seemed under-cookedThe sausage was gross and dry, the green salad was good , potatoes were boring and dessert you could get better from a box. One waitress was rude and i think she thinks it's cute. I love the ambience but the food was cold and gross. I will never go back. What a huge disappointment especially for the $$
MoreGerman food. Dark ambiance with high ceilings. Good reuben sandwich.
Had a very good experience in here with my wife. The food arrived rapidly and the customer service is just awesome. Prices are convenient.
MoreDelicious food, fantastic ambiance, great service, and my goodness; DAS BOOT!!! Loved every minute 10 out of 10, will go again;
MoreThis place is always busy and difficult to get into, but it's definitely worth the wait. The Rabbit Curry is incredible. The wait staff are knowledgeable and their recommendations were spot on. Many of the dishes are served family style, with generous portions. There's also a good wine list.
MoreAuthentic german food. I had the Weiner Schnitzel, Deep Fried Pickles, and the Pretzel. Great atmosphere and fantastic waiter! He kept a good conversation with the table, service was friendly, fast, and memorable. Food was delicious. Will recommend to friends and coworkers.
MoreClassic German style beer hall. Real good flavorful food even tho the pretzel was a bit dry. But most importantly even better beer 🺠Great for big groups.
MoreFantastic German atmosphere, excellent bar bites, always a great time.
Big fan of the giant baked pretzel! This place get a little crowded after work but the staff is very nice and they have the impossible burger!! Thank you for having a vegan option!!
MoreExcellent German food in downtown San Francisco. The bratwurst was excellent. It was serviced with two types of sauerkraut. They also had a decent selection of local CA craft brews.
MoreThe service is outstanding and the food is delicious. It is a historical place located in the financial district of San Francisco. The atmosphere is live with music, sports TV, and active conversation. A great environment to enjoy a good hamburger.
MoreGreat for company happy hours. Burgers are made to order. Lots of apps. Dog friendly.
MoreSchroeder's feels like a transplant of a German beer hall that landedn squarely in FiDi, but there are touches to make it easy for the American consumer. TVs spaced out around the perimeter play sports, and in the evenings the host will jump on a mic to make birthday and restaurant announcements. Food is decent, if scaled up in price for the area, and making a reservation for lunch or dinner would be recommended as it can get quite busy.
MoreThe largest German beer hall on the west coast! A wide variety of local, domestic, and imported beers. The food is also really good - we enjoyed the giant pretzel and schnitzel.
MoreFun place for the big crowds ðŸ˜
Delicious and mega filling. It felt like an endless supply of meat, salad and pretzels. The cocktails were pretty tasty—I ended up getting some green tea and vodka concoction plus an oh-so-spicy mezcal margarita. They offer three schnitzel types, all great, but the pork has got to be my favorite since it reminds me so strongly of the kind my mom used to make.
MoreCame here for a team dinner. This was a decent place serving almost authentic German food. The schnitzel and sausages were not bad, but the käse spätzle was very underwhelming. The beer selection was great, however, and the decor was pretty spot on.
MoreHad a awesome experience in this place with my wife. The food came fast and the customer service is just awesome. Prices are convenient.
MoreInteresting old school joint, ended up there because we couldn't get into Tadich Grill. Similar vibe, been around forever. Food is good, not great, but definitely recommend the pretzel with cheese. Really good for groups and those that like beer. The glass beer boots are a sight to behold. All in all, a good spot, hope they're around for another 50 years!
MoreGood service, wide selection of German beers. They even made Radler on request!! Spicy Bierwurst is delicious.
MoreI have been here several times, and also we had a company event here. The beers here are top notch. They often have things on tap you can only find in Germany. The space is huge, misleadingly large. The staff is fantastic and nice. The food I have tried was decent, but I didn't really eat a meal here before. Good spot, I would come back.
MoreThis place gets PACKED during the lunch! The food is so worth it. Tater tot appetizer is so good— there really are no words to describe how good. It's a pricey pub, but the food and beer are worth it!
MoreStopped in for dinner, place was very busy with the after work crowd, grabbed a seat at the bar. Service was very quick as well as on top of things, food order was served quickly as well. Beer selection is excellent, lots of craft beers with an emphasis on German styles. I had a bratwurst plate which was the perfect size. They have 3 different beer size options which was great as got to taste 3 very good local beers.
MoreGreat tots and fried pickles. My Jager Schnitzel portion was huge and tasted pretty great. I'm not a big fan of the cabbage but it's good to see so Mich veg on the plate to balance out the meal. Oh and the ginger beer is legit.
MoreGenerous portions for all three schnitzel dishes. The long tables add to the ambiance but overall the restaurant was too loud to easily have a conversation with people sitting right across from me. In the future I will order pickup or delivery to to enjoy the delicious food in a quieter setting.
MoreI like the interior design and the beer but the food was mediocre. Also the music was very loud when we there. Service was great.
MoreVery good German food. Friendly service. There's a reason this place has been around for as long as it has. Definitely stopping in again the next time I'm in town!
MoreSolid beer and food, except it took awhile for the beer and food to reach to my table. Also, some of the wait staff don't know how to properly pour a beer into a glass because there would be too much head. I recommend making a reservation unless you're OK showing up on a whim and hanging out/spending most of your time standing at the bar.
MoreWe love eating out. Last night we found this fine place which we didn’t know before. We had a delightful time there with exceptional dishes and a courteous crew and an impressive chef. We added this place in our list and we will no doubt visit again very soon. We deeply recommend.
MoreGreat place to watch Champions league football games
Lunch (Reuben sandwich) was super yummy....looking forward to trying schnitzel next time! Staff was very courteous. Will definitely go back!
